Flying high but on solid ground
Air Service Berlin connects flying with fun and excitement. Commander Frank Hellberg and his crew give you wings and let you float to the most beautiful sights in Berlin and Brandenburg.

The company was founded in 1990 and continuously developed. The Ultraleicht flight school became a licensed air service company with an operating permit to transport passengers and cargo, train, and a permit for other purposes in compliance with § 20 of the LuftfVo and business operation of hot air balloons.

In the fall of 1997, air traffic began with a waterplane in the capital Berlin for the first time and successfully continued. The Berlin Hi-Flyer, which is more commonly known to many Berliners as the SAT.1 Balloon, has been located at Potsdamer Platz since spring 2000.

The flexible flights in the helicopter are a must for any metropolis. Anyone can experience such flights with Air Service Berlin as well, e.g. along the former “Berlin Wall” between Checkpoint Charlie and Brandenburg Gate.

The big hit for Berlin has been taking off from Tempelhof Airport since 2001: the legendary, original, and restored DC-3, one of the planes making Berlin history as "Candy Bomber". These dependable aircraft ensured the supplies to the enclosed city from 1948 to 1949. Still today, many older Berliners happily remember the food shipments, when they hear the deep, sonorous humming of the DC-3 in the sky. Sometimes it almost feels as though someone turned back time. Today, all old-timer fans and guests excited to fly can fly along in the raison bomber, that otherwise can only be adored at German museums.

If you want to experience pure nature and also have the hissing fire of the burner above you, you can book one of our favorite hot balloon rides. They fly across the Ruppin countryside or beautiful coastline of the Baltic Sea.

For the really brave, we offer tandem parachute jumps from Fehrbellin Airport.
